I highly recommend a four hour fishing trip to anyone who's never fished with me before. It's short enough to not overwhelm a first time angler, but long enough to get a good taste of bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. We'll troll for Bonita, Spanish, and King Mackerel, and then bottom fish for Snapper, Jacks, and Trigger Fish. Because of Federal fishing seasons and the logistics of a four hour trip, we will be primarily catch and release fishing. The goal will be to bring back enough keeper

Six hours seems to be the standard summertime red snapper fishing trip length. It gives us enough time to ride farther into more productive fishing grounds!

Eight hours is the premium trip that allows us to go to much deeper waters to catch larger fish.
